We are making history. It has been already 20 long years since we set foot in Hungary. Only in two decades we have made our way into the top rubber service providers on the Central European market.
It all started in 1997 when Michel Alliance from the Belgian parent company came to Hungary with the goal of finding a suitable place for a new manufacturing plant. The cost of labor was increasing so rapidly in Belgium at the time that it has put SIC Rubbers under pressure to outsource part of its production.
He searched the country with great determination to find the ideal spot. Finally, after 3 months he discovered Pásztó, a small town in Nógrád county with excellent location and available work force. In place of the building that gives home to the manufacturing plant today there used to be a picture framing workshop. It took only another 6 months, and a lot of work of course, on the site to start operations.
At first, the Hungarian plant took over deflashing and quality control. Production machines were gradually moved to Hungary over the years. Slowly but surely, we have built up an extensive production site and accumulated considerable knowledge in the industry.
We haven’t stopped developing ever since. We have gone through considerable technology advancements during the last decade and we have set up our own R&D department. By strengthening our skills in marketing and management areas, we are now ready for future challenges on international markets.
